der Begriff bezeichnet ein Optionskonzept: das Verhältnis von Ausübungspreis ("strike price") und Marktpreis des zugrunde liegenden Instruments (Underlying) bestimmt, ob eine Option "am Geld" ("at the money") ist. Eine Option ist dann am Geld, wenn ihr Ausübungspreis gleich dem Marktpreis ihres Underlyings ist (= At-the-money-Option). Dies gilt sowohl für Verkaufsoptionen (Put) als auch für Kaufoptionen (Call).
